RYA Training
From Beginner to Advanced
Yarmouth Sea School can offer RYA Powerboat courses in Yarmouth, from Powerboat Level one through to Advanced Powerboating. Whether you want to hone your boat handling skills, improve your night time navigation or simply start to get into boating we can offer a course tailored to your requirements. If you have experience we can do fast track direct assessment courses.
We can also offer classroom based courses such as RYA First Aid, a requirement for many commercial applications.
Yarmouth Sea School specialise in own boat tuition. We believe that learning in your own boat is far more beneficial than learning in a small training RIB whose handling may not be anything like your own boat. From RIBs to Flybridge motor cruisers, we can accommodate training on most power driven vessels.
With many highly experienced instructors, we can find the right person for you and your boat.
Powerboat level 2
The most popular course we do
For those who have just bought a boat and need confidence to go out and handle it safely with the basic knowledge needed, or just to learn and see if it is something they and their family want to take up. If you have your own boat we recommend you do it in that. A largely practical intensive two day course for boat handling and seamanship in small powerboats. The majority of this course is practical and afloat but there will be a need for some theory, we try to do this on the water.
